It’s believed that there are approximately 30 million women in this country with hair loss problems.
While hair loss traits are generally inherited, there are a number of causes that are uniquely different than in men.

Types of Hair Loss
The general term for an inherited hair loss trait is called female |
pattern hair loss or androgenic alopecia.
Although the science of female balding is still largely misunderstood, there is evidence that many other types of enzymes, as well as hormone receptors and blockers, may be at work in women.
One clue that there is a true difference between male and female balding is the pattern in which the hair loss occurs.
Female pattern balding usually encompasses the whole top of the head and is generally diffuse.
