Medically-Directed Practice
Dr. Kurgis, a well respected Dermatologist, MOHS surgeon and member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS)—is sensitive to how important hair is to a person’s sense of well-being.
“Laser therapy is an important breakthrough for restoring thinning hair,” he states.
”The key,” Dr. Kurgis says, “is in stimulating live, but weakened, follicles at the cellular level. Most important, this Laser is cool to the touch, pain-free, and has no side effects.”
Low-Level Laser Light Therapy is now available in three treatment methods. Each utilizes 5-milliwatt, 650-nanometer laser diodes, and all devices at Central California Laser Hair Therapy carry an FDA safety regulatory label. This certifies |

them as being safe for the consumer (only laser devices with this certification are legal to be used in the U.S.).
Each treatment takes twenty to thirty minutes and is provided while the client sits comfortably in a relaxed and calm environment.
Next, the simplest and least expensive LLLT option is a hand-held, “use anywhere,” Laser Hair Therapy Device. These portable units can travel anywhere the patient goes and is typical used for 15-20 minutes at a time, two to three days per week. While these devices can be used as a stand-alone treatment for individuals with smaller areas of weak or thinning hair, they are routinely recommended by our company as the perfect “maintenance” tool for the patient who has first gained control of his/her hair problems from a clinical program. |
