John,
I really want to thank you for your information, it is very helpful. I knew something wasn't right when (my doctor) raised the price for treament by more than a thousand dollars without changing the treatment in the slightest way. I am currently using monoxidil 5% and taking the propecia along with a shampoo, conditioner, scalp cleanser, and nutrient booster.
However, from prices of monoxidil I have seen on the net Im pretty sure I have been ripped off pretty good. Seems to me the only cure for frontal hairline receding is surgery. I live in Fairfax, VA about 15 minutes from Washington, D.C and would greatly appreciate you pointing me in the right direction for a well qualified surgeon in my area.
Thanks again,
– Chris

Minoxidil and Propecia are two valid FDA-approved treatments for hair loss prevention and re-growth.However, neither of these products have demonstrated significant results in the frontal area. That’s why I like Laser Therapy for this area. It can turn weak fine hair into stronger, style-able hair. I typically recommend this treatment first. Once you revive all the hair you can with Laser Therapy, then consider hair transplantation to fill in what you need additionally. (and don’t forget to continue hair loss preventions!)
